Calm Check In

When walking your dog, reward them anytime they look at you. A simple “Yes!” and give a small treat.  This teaches your dog to check in with you voluntarily. Dogs that check in pull less, pay more attention, and are easier to guide.

Start in a quiet, low-distraction environment and reward every look. Gradually practice in busier locations as your dog becomes more reliable. Over time, checking in with you will become a habit, making walks calmer and more enjoyable for both of you.
